NayiDishayein
Welcome to Nayi Dishayein

Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, enveloped with beautiful pine forests, you will find this valley village named Satyon. Beauty and tranquility is the identity of this amazing place which is probably one of the richest in its natural wealth and surroundings.

“Town School” which is a decent English Medium school, caters to more than twelve villages in the vicinity. Children are in the age bracket of 4 yrs to 11 yrs.

The majority of them walk a kilometer or more to reach school passing through forests, and mountain slopes. They make this effort for the very fact that good education is everyone’s right .The school is only a year and a half old and has a student count of 85 and we are always growing. Today parents and children are realizing the crippled, inadequate nature of Government schools, this is the driving force which brings the children to our school.

We feel that God makes good people meet, and now we have volunteers from all different parts of the world. Volunteers travel to our school believing as we do, that the world is a global village. These good people see the beauty in our mission, and continue to journey to our school to assist in our mission.

The students whose parents are peasants and depend on farming and animal husbandry for their livelihood, soon were attending various workshops conducted by the volunteers. Activities such as: Gymnastics, Cricket, Origami, Mathematics, English, Computers,  and Rhymes for kindergarten, all are taken care of by the volunteers.

The first annual function, which was a series of various plays, was a treat to everyone's eyes. All the teachers and volunteers worked hard day and night to bring every child on stage. Costumes, makeup, acting, and stage setting all had become a home production. We intend to strive higher with different visions so that all children can enjoy this education with the support of the privileged ones.

The school wishes to someday abolish the fees of attending our school, which are minimal to those who are privileged. We desire to obtain sponsoring so that we may give free standard education to the rural children of India.

Children who came from very far away villages were also welcomed to attend this school. To enable children from these village to attend, we have provided a van service for transport to and from the school.

This village is at an altitude of 4500ft above sea level. Annual weather includes snow and heavy rain. On occasion severe weather causes electricity failure for as many as 8 days. During severe rains landslides have completely cut us off from the world.

In summary, the children live with only basic provisions, they are enthusiastic learners and they do not leave any stone unturned to become better…

Thank you for your support.
